Week 1 Study Guide (Psalms 1 & 19)

Welcome to the Summer of Scriptures! We are glad to have you and look forward to learning and growing alongside you for the next several weeks.

The scriptures are God's eternally rich, deep, and full plan communicated with pen & ink - and the Psalms are one of the most obvious - and most foundational - treasures within it. Do you know what the Psalms are? Who wrote them, for whom, and why? What are some of the key Psalms and what is their message? What critical role do they play in the overall message of the scriptures - and more specifically, where is Christ (the central hero of all creation, the universe, and eternity) in the Psalms? The answers to these questions and much much more lie in the weeks ahead.

So - welcome to the journey. Although it will be a lot of hard work and study, it will be a ton of fun - and we believe that much of what you will learn and discover in the weeks ahead will change your life forever. You may very well carry many of these treasures that you unearth along the way for the rest of your life... Imagine!

Welcome aboard the S.S. Logos, our home-away-from-home for the next month-and-a-half.  We will keep a tight ship, but we are praying that it will be the adventure of a lifetime for each of you!
