Monday - 

--- Carefully read Proverbs 1 in NIV (15 mins)

--- Watch video "Basics of the Book of Proverbs" (15 mins) - Chris isn't the most exciting speaker, but this video is a great intro to the book - so pay attention!

--- Read the Wikipedia entry on the book of Proverbs (15 mins) - Don't worry, it's not as long as it looks at first - the second half is the reference section (don't read that)

--- Memorize Proverbs 1:7 in NIV (15 mins)

Tuesday -

--- Carefully read Proverbs 1 in MSG (15 mins)

--- Watch video "Biblical Hebrew Lesson - Proverbs 1:1-2" and browse a great online tool to study the transliterated Hebrew HERE (15 mins) - Pretty interesting to get a feel for the original language of the Hebrew scriptures, yes?

--- Read 1 Kings 3 - this is a key passage from the history about King Solomon, who wrote many of the Proverbs. (15 mins)

--- Memorize Proverbs 1:8 in NIV (and review 1:7) (15 mins)

Wednesday -

--- Carefully read Proverbs 1 in NKJV (15 mins)

--- Watch video "Structures & Sources of the Book of Proverbs" (15 mins) - Yes, it's a little dry - but it's only 8 minutes long, so do your best to follow what he is saying. Remember, this is college-level stuff! :)

--- Read Matthew Henry's Commentary on Proverbs 1 (15 mins)

--- Memorize Proverbs 1:9 in NIV (and review Prov. 1:7-8) (15 mins)

Thursday -

--- Carefully read Proverbs 1 in NLT (15 mins)

--- Grab a hot tea or a cool drink and listen to Desiring God's sermon on Proverbs 1 (30 mins) - feel free to occupy your hands while you listen - knit or color or throw a ball in the air - while you listen.

--- Review Prov. 1:1-9 in NIV (practice quoting them - without looking - over and over) (15 mins)
